“Before 2015, we only had male paddlers and I was their photographer. I found there were many women in Ma Wan who interested in joining the team, so I gathered them and started our dragon boat team! Most of our teammates live in Ma Wan or Tsuen Wan.

We have many memorable moments. I still remember the first time we raced at Cheung Chau; we had 10 girls racing for the very first time! We could feel each other’s nerves, but we were also super excited. Now, we have more experience and are very enthusiastic about dragon boat.”
