“When I get into a sport, I always make sure that I compete at the highest level I can reach. Before dragonboat I engaged in table tennis for 5 years, ran marathons and ultramarathons for 4 years, went track and field for 2 years, and did cycling for 2 years. I've been paddling for almost 2 years now. When I started paddling, I immediately fell in love with the sport because the adrenaline rush that you feel during races is different compared to other sports, the aura during races is quite diverse and everything must just go in synch. Who would've thought that someone who's afraid of waves and the deep ocean would get into the sport of dragon boat?”
