“I first started dragon boating when I entered university. My first experience with watersports was when I was in polytechnic, but it was short-lived as I chose to focus my attention on managing my studies. Shortly after that, I regretted leaving the team because I missed the fun and the camaraderie forged. But most importantly, I missed paddling and I am glad that I was given the chance to join my school’s dragon boat team.
There isn’t a specific favourite memory that I have, but I am glad to have teammates with me that made this whole journey so heart-warming and fulfilling. Even though training gets tough at times, knowing that every single member on the boat is giving their best drives me to do better. This group of highly motivated individuals continue to inspire me every day and I would exchange nothing else for the experience that dragon boating has given me.”
